Wash your Pet Parents brand items at least once a week. Whenever your pets make a mess, wash the item.

The steps:

1. Use a paper towel or white towel to clean up the liquids.
2. Pour liquid dish soap into a medium-sized bowl of cold water.
3. Search the item for stains.
4. Use a different white towel for the spot cleaning. Wet the towel with soapy water and dab the stain gently.
5. Rinse the area with clean cold water till the water and soap suds are gone.
6. Repeat this process with the other stains.
7. After spot cleaning, toss the item in the washer.

4. After the wash cycle is complete, remove the mat from the washer and dry it immediately.

Drying instructions

You can either tumble dry or air-dry. If you are tumble drying, run the dryer on the “gentle” setting.

However, hanging the mat to air-dry ensures it lasts longer. You can also leave it to dry flat.

1. Flip your Forager™ bowl inside out. Place the drawstring and cinch of the bowl in its pocket.
2. Place the prepared bowl in the washer.
3. Use a mild, non-bleach, fragrance-free detergent to protect the pets from irritation.
4. Set the washer to the “gentle” wash cycle and “cold water” setting.
5. After the wash cycle is complete, remove the mat from the washer and dry it immediately.

How to Deodorize Your Pet Parents’ Items

While Pet Parents products protect your home from foul smells, the items bear this burden. You have to take extra precautions to ensure your pet’s items are odor-free, as the odor causes discomfort and irritation for your pets.

White Vinegar

White vinegar is known for its deodorizing and sanitizing abilities. Pour one tablespoon of white vinegar together with the detergent into the washer. Your item will come out smelling right. 

You can add 1 ½ cups or 2 cups of white vinegar if the odor is too strong. 

Baking Soda

• Fill up a bowl with cold water. 
• Mix one cup of baking soda with four cups of warm water.
• Pour the baking soda solution into the bowl with cold water.
• Submerge your belly bands, diapers, forager bowls, e.t.c, into the bowl.
• Leave the item to soak for 2 to 3 hours.
• Remove the items from the soak and place them in the washer to wash.
