Sand Cloud Washing Instructions

You can easily remove sand, grass, and other debris by fluffing the towel.

Even with this convenience, you have to wash your towels regularly to keep them fresh and clean. The more you wash the towels, the softer and more absorbent they become.

How to Wash Your Sand Cloud Towels

These towels are effortless to maintain. Wash them once or twice a week or after every trip to the beach. This frequent washing means you have to be meticulous about following the instructions and using the right wash setting, water temperature, and a good detergent.

Use a small amount of detergent when washing, or use detergents that produce little soap suds. It is crucial to maintain the famous soft feel of these towels.

Pre Washing

Once you get your new Sand Cloud towel, do not let the excitement of the bright colors stop you from doing this crucial step. Pre-washing your towels increases their absorbance and softness by allowing the cotton fibers to open and expand.

Prewash your towel once when they are brand new. After the initial prewashing, you will resume regular washing.

The steps:

1. Fill up your bathtub or a large bowl with cold water.
2. Place your brand new towel inside.
3. Leave the towel to soak for 12 hours. You can also leave it overnight if necessary.
4. After 12 hours, bring the towel out and squeeze the excess water.
5. Hang the towel to air-dry.

Washing

After using your Sand Cloud towel for a few days, it will be time to wash it. Although the recommendation is to machine wash the towel, you can hand wash or dry clean it.

Machine Washing Sand Cloud Towels

1. Gently place your Sand Cloud towels into the washer with other similar-colored towels. It is better to wash the towels without regular clothes.
2. Put the washer on the “gentle” cycle and “cold water” setting.
3. Use mild detergent. Don’t use too much detergent when washing your towel to reduce the amount of soap suds that will form.
4.  Do not use bleach and fabric softener. Using a fabric softener will significantly reduce the absorbency of the towel.
5. Start the wash. You can run an extra rinse cycle to ensure the detergent completely rinses out. Leaving detergent residue to dry in the towel will reduce its softness over time.
6. Add a cup of vinegar to the wash every other month to remove the excess detergent and help brighten and deodorize the towel.
7. Dry your water straight away.

Hand Washing Sand Cloud Towels

1. Fill up a bowl or your bathtub with cold water.
2. Pour in a tiny amount of mild detergent.
3. Agitate the water till it foams.
4. Submerge the towel in soapy water.
5. Gently wash the towel.
6. Rinse with cold running water till the soap suds goes.
7. Squeeze the towel to remove the excess water.
8. Dry your towel straight away.

Drying Sand Cloud Towels

Dry your towel the minute you finish washing it. This immediate drying will ensure the smell remains fresh and the towel’s vibrant color doesn’t bleed away.

Sand cloud towels are quick to dry, so you probably won’t have this problem after washing the towel. But to be safe, spread your towel and fluff it multiple times to quicken the drying process and straighten it, preventing crease formation.

Air-dry

Many people prefer hanging the Sand Cloud towel to air-dry because it preserves durability. Spread the towel wide on a drying rack or a wire outside for maximum effect.

Tumble Dry

Do not squeeze or fold your Sand Cloud towel when placing it in the dryer to speed up drying time, reduce crease formation, and prevent color bleeding.

Tumble dry your towel on low or medium heat. 

Care Tips

These are some care tips to make your Sand Cloud towels last longer.

• Fix loose threads.

Your towel can get caught on a rock or any sharp object at the beach, or maybe, it is just experiencing normal wear and tear. As a result, you might find lose threads. Gently cut it loose with sharp scissors. It will not affect the rest of the towel.

• Twist lose fringe.

After washing your towel, check for the fringe at the ends of the towel if they are becoming loose. If they are, merely twist them back.

1. Divide the fringe into two parts.
2. Twist both parts separately in a clockwise fashion.
3. Then twist the two parts together until it is tight again.
4. Tie a knot at the end to fasten the fringe.

• Iron your towel

If there are wrinkles on your towel after it dries, use a warm, not hot, iron to gently smooth them out.
